Joe's Chili recipeIngredients
- 1 large onion - sweet
- 1 bell pepper - green
- 1 poblano pepper
- 4 jalapeños
- 4
Serrano peppers
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1 can of hunts tomato sauce 14.5 oz
- 1 can of hunts petite diced tomato

- 1 can of rotel
- 2 cans of dark red kidney beans
- 2 cans of pinto beans
- 1 pkg of wick
fowlers chili seasoning
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1 tsp of pepper
- 1 tsp of cumin
- 1 T of chili powder
- 1
tsp cayenne
Dice onion, bell pepper, poblano, Serrano, jalapeño and garlic then sauté in pan
till onions are translucent.
At the same time In a deep pot brown 2 lbs of ground beef.
Once beef is browned,
drain grease from pot.
Add sautéed mix to beef.
Stir.
Add tomato sauce, petite diced, rotel and wick
fowler seasoning except masa and onion garlic.
Stir.
Then add salt, pepper, cumin, chili powder and cayenne.
You may need to add water to get consistency where you want it.
Stir and cover and once chili is hot lower to simmer.
Place beans in strainer and rinse.
After about 20 minutes add beans to chili and stir.
Cover and keep simmering
for another 30 minutes.
If chili needs thickening mix masa in small glass of hot water and cut into chili and stir.
